Hiya everyone, another #SkincareFridays post, woohoo!
I thought I better write up this review before I totally use up this eye cream. I don’t normally go through products quick enough so I am unlikely to have any “empties” blog posts ever, but never say never eh 😛
This is my second pot of Lancome Genifique eye cream, I bought this as part of a xmas set that comes with Lancome Genifique serum.
This is part of the Genifique skincare range, which promises to help regenerate or help to regenerate younger looking skin in shorter amount of time. I loved the serum, but result is less noticeable with continuous use.
The eye cream comes in an adorable glass jar, looks fab on vanity table. (I actually kept my last pot for storing tiny brushes, from gel liner pots and eyebrow kits etc).
Product contains very slight fragrance, just like the facial serum, it smells very pleasant and expensive (?). You obviously would not smell it after application!
Targeted for the delicate eye area, the gel-cream formula adds vibrancy to tired eyes and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Skin feels firmer, softer and smoother.
Concerns: Signs of Ageing, Dullness, Wrinkles, Fine Lines
Benefits: Radiance, Smoothness, Firmness
This is light creamy gel-like consistency, it feels nice and cooling on the under-eye area. I apply this eye cream to my under-eye area using my ring fingers, in which I lightly pat this on every morning and night. It absorb within minutes into the area.
Put it in the fridge and use the product cool’ed if you want slight tightening effect.
Under-eye area feels hydrated and slightly more plump, the moisture level seems good throughout the day. This sits very well under makeup, it is not too rich, so you don’t have to worry about your under-eye concealer (if you wear any) sliding off.
I guess the fine lines are appearing as less visible due to the fact the area is very well hydrated. I do not see an improvement for dark circles. Then again, it didn’t claim to help with that :p
Price: £39.00 for 15ml
Availability: All major department stores (Debenhams, House of Fraser, Lancome online etc. Some drugstores such as Boots and Superdrug online and in store
Overall Summary: 3 out of 5. I am ready to move on and use another eye cream. But I know I will come back to this product should I need to inject moisture onto under-eye area.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend 😉
