Hello all, it is Thursday 30th Nov 2017, and we just had a dusting of snow in London! I am not keen on cold Winter but snowflakes are so pretty!
In today’s post, I will be reviewing the new Ejiubas white stamper set, which was kindly sent to me for review, honest opinion and testing. Actually, Guiwen didn’t even request me to write a blog post on this! But I do like the stamper set and would like to share my thoughts on it with you!
The Stamper Set
There are 3 stampers within this set, each has a white sticky stamper head, cap filled with gorgeous coloured rhinestones pieces (pink, peach and lilac). The body of the stamper is clear and has Ejuibas logo printed on it. There are 3 firm and semi opaque scrapping cards within the set.
To be honest, I am not sure why the body is made of clear plastic, maybe this is for aesthetic purposes. I have the clear Ejiubas stamper too, and it looks crystal clear and very pretty!
This set of stampers is currently being sold on Amazon.com for $9.99 including free shipping.
Dimensions and usage
Each silicone stamper head is measured at 2.8cm across, the stamper casing measures approx. 7cm tall, not a huge stamper but big enough to fit most nail lengths.
The stamper heads are extremely sticky. It is great for beginners, as you will have higher chance of picking up the image.
I find that these stamper heads need no to minimal amount of prepping, in which I only have to use my lint roller and remove the *invisible* film. After a few rolls over the stamper head, the stamper was ready and been in full use ever since!
The scraper cards each measure 8.4cm by 5.3cm (your store card size).
I use a clear stamper 90% of the time, I have a few sticky stampers in my stash to help me picking up trickier images. Usually the ones with finer details or the stamping polish I use is very fast drying. I find that a sticky stamper is fabulous in these situations. I have not had any issue picking up various branded plates with my usual stamping polishes.
Care instructions (No, the stamper set does not come with a care card!)
This is just how I care for my stampers to make my stampers last longer and perform better.
I clean my stamper heads with a lint roller after each image pick up, to remove residue polishes. I also clean the heads before each session, to ensure there is no debris and fluff. I never use acetone on it, nor prep it using nail file.
During each session, I stand my stampers up so it does not roll on my table; I replace the lid as soon as I finish using them and store them in a plastic storage case.
Being such a sticky stamper, any dust/fluff will really sticks and hard to remove.
I actually accidentally dropped my stamper onto my carpeted floor, it picked up so much fluff that I had to pick off my fingers. So be careful not to repeat my mistake! If yours do get dirty, just wash it under tap water and air dry it.
If you look after your stampers, they will serve well for months of use.
- Super sticky stamper heads, probably the stickiest stamper I own (and I own over 30 stampers in total!)
- Easy to use
- Easy to prime and prep
- Great value, at $9.99 for 3 stampers plus cards, you just can’t beat the price.
- Great for beginners
- Great for finer detailed stamping images
- Maybe too sticky? (not really a “con” if you are not careless like me and dropping stampers onto the floor!
- 3 stampers are practically the same, it would be nice to have different sizes. Maybe a bigger one so I can make bigger stamping decals and cut out the areas I like.
- All 3 stamper heads are white, using white stamping polish with it will be tricky. May I suggest to mix in with a coloured stamper head?
My thoughts on this stamper set
I believe this set is of great value, for $9.99, you get 3 super sticky stampers that are easy to use and look very pretty!
The scraper cards are unfortunately not too useful to me, my personal preference is semi to fully-flexible scraper cards. I would use these as my mini polish-mixing palettes instead! For me, the best method to use with these stick stamper heads is to press straight down onto the plate for pick up. I am normally a roller, but pressing straight down seems to work beautifully. I would recommend this set of stampers, in fact, when these retire I will surely get the same set as replacement!
Here are 2 nail art designs I did showcasing the clear pick up of images, which helps with detailed designs and also make my reverse stamping decal-making a lot easier!
