Hello and welcome to my “unboxing party”, I am unboxing and will be giving first impression on the various products contained within these lovely boxes! These are from Memebox restocking events. Yes, where only the fastest fingers win!
Memebox Special #46 From Jeju
It is fate! When this box first came out I did not purchase it, as I had no idea what Jeju was.. looking at the box cover, it looked like boulders to me! Little did I know, Jeju is a paradise “hawaii-sque” island of Korea. It is famous for producing the best natural organic produce and skincare ingredients. I missed this box couple of times before finally laying my hands on it! Muwahaha!
Here is a lovely picture of the Jeju Island!
and this is where Jeju island is in relation to Korea.
And this is my “FROM JEJU” box, in its full glory! Hehe
- Skindeco Volcanic Pore Clay Sparkling Heating Mask 100ml, RRP $33
This mask contains volcanic clay, sparkling mineral water and plankton (Plankton are microscopic organisms that float freely with oceanic currents, DO NOT GOOGLE it if you do not like creepy crawlies!) from Jeju island. I have not tried this clay yet :o(
- The Yeon Jeju Hallabong Ade Energy Peeling Toner 200ml, RRP $19
I have the Jeju Hallabong all in one serum from various boxes, and this is the first Hallabong toner for me! This toner gently exfoliates the skin when used after cleansing. It contains a blend of organic Hallabong, kiwi and broccoli (pretty much the same ingredients as the serum!). The toner is enriched with papaya extracts and black willow extracts to remove excess dead skin cells.
- Skincure SanDaWha Natural Mild Cleansing Oil 30ml, RRP $10
This lovely cleansing oil is one of the gentlest one I have come across. It is made with 100% Jeju camellia oil, the only regret is…. It’s tiny at 30ml!!
- Secret Nature From Jeju Serum 50ml, RRP $33
This serum contains organic extracts of broccoli, carrot and asparagus. It promises to deliver moisture in abundance! I do agree how moisturising this feels on the skin, it is great for the colder months. This serum is very gentle on the skin, it does not contain parabens, artificial colouring, talc, TEA or fragrance.
- Etude House Green Tea Blending Sleeping Cream Spoon 6g, RRP $2
This is my first sleeping cream spoon! To use, you open the pack and mix the cream well before applying onto the skin. AS this is a sleeping mask, you do not need to rinse this off before sleep. To me, I think there’s too much product for one use but it is impossible to keep it fresh! I like how it leaves my skin super nourished in the morning, so I have ordered the full set from eBay for around £10 including shipping.
- Etude House Soothing & Clean Green Tea Sheet Mask Pack 20ml, RRP $1
Etude House masks are good, hydrating and skin brightening. I have only used the lemon version before this green tea one. I can say that they are both good, the lemon version is for skin brightening and this green tea version makes the skin feel moisturised and soothes minor skin irritations. To use, you put this mask on after cleansing the face. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes before removing. Pat gently for any extra essence to be absorbed into the skin.
- The Yeon Jeju Canola Honey Silky Hand Cream 50ml, RRP $5
This is by far my favourite hand cream from Memebox, and possibly my favourite hand cream ever! No joke, this cream is so good I gave my first tube to my mum!
The scent of this is not strong, very similar to fresh blossoms with honey. This hand cream contains canola flower honey, surprise surprise! It is not greasy and gets absorbed really well into the hands. Okie, I liked it so much I’ve put it a request at Testerkorea. They are now selling this for 6400 Korean won (about $5.80 USD) on the site, and I’ve bought six, yes SIX backups from them!
The total retail value of this box is $103, the cost of the box is $23 plus shipping. I LOVE this box. Thank you Meme, thank you Jeju!
Superbox #53 My Honey Box
This is second edition of the Memebox Honey box, I was not around when the first edition was launched. So I am guessing honey is a popular ingredient and favourite of most meme-buyers!
I can’t believe how good this box is!
- Migabee Antipollution RE-Peeling 100ml, RRP $37
I love using peeling gels, I am not a fan of scrubs with granules and I rely heavily on peeling gels to remove dead skin cells and help my skin regenerate. This peeling gel contains honey, bee venom, propolis and royal jelly. FYI, my favourite peeling gel is Ginvera Marvel Gel.
Updated: 12th Feb 2015. This is not a peeling gel but a peeling mask! Thanks to lovely lady on fb for informing me! I shall put it in the mask queue instead of the exfoilant queue (I have products queuing up in order for test outs!).
- Mi Click Manuka Honey Treatment 30ml, RRP $5
This is a hair treatment delivers deep nourishment and repairs dry and damaged hair.
- Enesti Apple & Honey Shea Butter Hand Cream 50g, RRP $5
We are all familiar with Enesti and their lovely hand creams? I received my first one from a lovely lady on FB, then my second and third arrived in later and more recent boxes (Apple Mojito and Pumpkin Pie Cosmetics). This honey and apple edition smells sweet and fresh, it is a very good hand cream. I am starting to sound like a hand cream hoarder now. I am.
- From Nature Multi Effect Collagen Honey Mask, RRP $1
This mask contains high concentration of natural honey and collagen extracts. It nourishes without feeling heavy on the skin. I wished I have a second one or many backups :o(
- Edmong Honeybee Water Cream 50ml, RRP $29
This honey water cream smells delicious and it is so easy to apply and absorbed into the skin. The texture is light, look at how pretty it is! It is also very gentle, free of all the skincare baddies such as parabens, artificial colouring, mineral oil, BHT and talc.
- Daycell Essential Honey Lift Massage Cream 150ml, RRP $20
This massage cream contains natural honey and collagen complex. I use this as a neck cream at night. It is working well so far :o)
- Pure Smile Snail Lip Treatment Honey 10g, RRP $5
This works so well as a lip treatment, I reach out to this whenever my lips need some intensive nourishment! This honey version smells great! Another product that I would not hesitate repurchasing.
The total retail value of this box is $102, the cost of the box is $23 plus shipping. Fabulous box for its value! I love how this box contains something to use for face, body and hair.
Unboxing of Memebox Special #37 Wake up Makeup
Official Box Description:
If mornings are not your best friends, and spending hours in front of the mirror is not an option, we’ve got ways to streamline your morning beauty routine so that you can look good, and feel good, every morning. Here, a simple makeup box with a selection of all products that will put yourself together in a flash, at home, or on the go. Because no matter how you feel, Meme-fans always get up, make up, show up, and never give up!
Morning is my best friend, considering I wake up before 5am every morning for my work! This does not imply that I have lots of time to put on my “work” makeup face. So any shortcuts or tip and tricks are welcome.
- Bbia Downy Cheek 3.5g, RRP $12
There are two options for this blush, and I am happy to receive Downy Peach instead of Downy Pink. As I love cream blushes, I find them ultra blend-able and look really natural on the face.
What do I do!? Two fingers dabbed into the blush and onto my cheeks before blending lightly. This is a lovely item to receive from a makeup beauty box!
- It’s Skin Babyface Young Girl Gel Eye Liner (Purple Black) 2 * 5.5g, RRP $13
Purple and black are super wearable, I remember I had a New CID liner trio in jewel colours. That was my favourite thing ever until I migrated onto liquid liners. I still enjoy gel liners on occasion.
This eye liner pot comes with its own line brush too, very handy but I prefer to use a thinner liner brush. Another good product!
- Royal Nature The Original Soothing Blemish Balm SPF 30 PA+++ 40ml, RRP $43
This is pretty special. WHY? Not because it contains a blend of skin soothing natural ingredients. Such as calendula extracts, portulaca extracts, chamomile extracts and cypress essential oils. It is because this BB cream contains a special ingredient called “Angel’s Tear” complex. I am guessing it is “Angel Tears” that gives the dewy and glowy look. I had to dial down the dewy-ness by using extra powder on top.
- Shara Shara Creamy Dual Auto Eye Stick 1.4g, RRP $9
There are three colour options and we each get one assigned in our boxes. I received the no.2 Holly pink brown. I am guess these are included in this box because the colours here are low maintenance. This means I do not need a crisp and defined line to line my eyes with. Brown liners are good because it looks so natural yet there is enough pigment to define the eyes nicely.
- Cheek Room Two Color Lip Gloss 8ml, RRP $12
There are two colour options, I have received the 08 Wine & Nude Peach and cannot be happier as Lavender is definitely not my colour! This lip gloss boosts long lasting formula with high gloss finish.
- Shara Shara Glitter Pearl Powder 2.2g, RRP $7
There are three colour options and I received the 01 Pink Romance. It is beautiful colour to use on the eyes, please see swatch! I personally love wearing shimmery colours and this is perfect. So girley! haha
Surprise but not surprised! There is a free gift included in this box.
Cellbydate: The Galacto Zero Essence
Interesting brand name, isn’t it? Cellbydate or Sell-By-Date?
Anyhow, I am really happy to receive this essence, as it contains ingredients that I know work very well with my skin! This is a soothing, moisturising and skin boosting essence containing galactomyces (fermented fungi family).
The total retail value of this box is $96 plus the essence was retailing around $15, the total cost of the box was $23 plus shipping.
I cannot tell you how much time I have saved on each morning with my makeup routine, but I can say these are very benefiting to my skin! For me, this is a good box and much better than other makeup boxes I have received so far! (See review of Makeup Edition #2 and #3).
Fantastic, I have managed to unboxed three great boxes I bought from the restocks. To be honest, if you do see these boxes restocked on Memebox site. Just grab them, you will not be disappointed. :o)
Thank you for reading!
Hello there, after unboxing my last bundle, I am back with reviewing the pile of older boxes. This time I have gathered three skincare boxes and combine them into one long post. I hope you find this useful.
Special #73 Brighten & Correct
This is the sort of boxes I would jump in and purchase without a second thought! I hope my hubby is not reading this :p I love skincare products that brighten dull complexions and even out skin tones!
1. Ariul Spa Water 24 hours Moisturising Detox Mask 100ml, RRP $26
A very large bottle of detox mask! I like the packaging with the arty gradient, it makes it look more expensive than it is. The mask itself is pearly white, smells very much like an old-fashioned hand wash. I like the product but I am not too keen on the scent. To use, apply a small amount into your palms and spread this over the face. You only have to wait for few seconds before the mask starts to foam up. The bubbles are there to deep clean your pores, it is a funny feeling on the skin. Let me repeat myself here again, I love self-bubbling skincare products. It’s fun and does a good job cleaning the pores. Once rinsed off, the skin will be left moisturised and soft to touch. I really like what it does to my skin! Big thumbs up! I score this 9 out of 10!
2. AHC Hologram Collection Whitening Serum 50ml, RRP $89
Without stating the obvious, this serum looks absolutely fantastic! I know it is a bit gimmicky, but as long as the product delivers, I guess it doesn’t really matter?
This whitening serum contains a blend of acerola berry, camu camu berry, hyaluronic acid, kiwi and tomato. It helps to brightens the complexion while delivering moisture to the skin.
3. LadyKin Broccoli Super Brightening Cream 60ml, RRP $14
Right, this is a funny ingredient, 75% Broccoli extract! I have never seen anything non-edible containing Broccoli at all. Apparently, it is believed that broccoli has antioxidant effects on the skin. This cream also has high level of vitamin C and E, these are known to brightens and repairs the skin.
This cream can be used on face and body.
4. Boscians Cycle Repair Whitening Spot 15ml, RRP $24
This is a point treatment to lighten dark spots on the skin and helps with hyperpigmentation, a well as hydrating the skin. This is my second tube of the same product, I have been advised this can be a great eye cream too.
5. Withme White Perfection Hydrating Cream 120ml, RRP $43
“This White Perfection Hydrating Cream contains over 24,000 mg of silk concentrates and ocean complex. The silk formula rich in protein and amino acid effectively detoxifies the skin of melanin pigments while the blend of sea minerals and coral reef extracts deeply relieve and replenish dry, exhausted skin.”
The info card states that there’s 24000mg of silk concentrates and ocean complex contained within this cream. I am not sure this is correct, as it means 24grams of silk concentrates within 1 cubic cm?! Anyhow, this is a weird product and slightly scented, I was expecting a cream like the broccoli one. I am unsure I will keep this.
All in all, this is a lovely box! I really do like this and would love to reorder if it ever becomes available for international shoppers again!
The total retail value of the box is $196, and the cost of the box was only $23 plus shipping! Absolute bargain and fabulous box! More please!
1. Purederm Cucumber Eye 24 Pads, RRP $12
Who likes gimmicky products? I do! Yes this is not a new design, I have seen these when I was younger. Fake pieces of cucumber patches for cooling the eyes. These are enriched with real cucumber extract, vitamin E and can be stored in fridge for extra cooling effects when used. I do prefer this when its cooler.
These pads are not as cooling or nourishing as you might be expecting. I believe the pads can be made thinner or softer, so they will fit closer to the contour of the eyes.
They don’t irritate my eyes or my eye lids. Not bad but not a product I would repurchase. It looks cute thou.
2. Ladykin Vanpir Dark Repairing Water Mask, RRP $46
Ok listen to this, “This sleeping pack is made from “dragon’s blood resin” from the Amazon, adenosine and centella asiatica.” Do you know this is? I don’t.
This sleeping pack definitely works well with my skin. I find it very hydrating and I like to wake up to better skin in the mornings! I cannot confirm the claims regarding evening out skin tone as it was not noticeable for the last two times I’ve used the sleeping mask.
3. dDung Vitamin Wash-off Pack 120ml, RRP $12
Another face mask but it requires rinsing off after use. It is packed with vitamins, although the info card did not clarify which vitamins!
I have swapped this item already, so won’t be able to give you a verdict.
4. Mise en Scene Perfect Repair Treatment Pack 180ml, RRP $16
One of my favourite meme hair products, it works well with my hair and it does not weigh it down. I do believe I have two more as backups. I do use this as hair conditioner and not a weekly treatment. It contains 7 types of oils, including argan, camellia, olive, jojoba, coconut, apricot and marula.
I am really enjoying this hair treatment, my hair is feeling soft and not as knotty.
5. TO BE NANG Snail Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask 51g, RRP $5
Hydro gel masks are my new favourite! You must try a hydrogel mask as they fit so much better to the face and deliver so much hydration. This is true even with the cheaper alternative brands.
This mask contains snail mucus extracts for the skin renewing properties.
6. TO BE NANG Gold 24k Snail Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask 51g, RRP $6
In hydro gel mask heaven! This mask is enriched with snail mucus extracts and pure gold extracts for soothing,, renewing and rejuvenating the skin. I am really looking forward to trying this one out. I have seen the same mask on another k-beauty online site for $14? So, is this the only time meme under valuated a product? No idea. But I am not complaining.
7. TO BE NANG Anti-Wrinkle Face & Neck Mask 61g, RRP $3
This is a 2-part mask, one for the face and one for the neck. It also contains snail mucus extracts.
The total retail value of the box is $100, the cost of the box is $23 plus shipping. Pretty darn good value I would say! This box is very good, I like mask edition boxes!
Namely my oldest Memebox ever, unboxing of Memebox Special #35 Moisture Surge
I’ve got this box during the first ever restocking event. I can still remember on that Friday I rushed home and ate my dinner. ..Then fingers at the ready, to order whatever Memebox throws at us. That event trained me well for the subsequent restocks. Haha madness I know! I have oily combination skin but it doesn’t mean my skin is naturally moisturised. My skin seems to be at its happiest when there’s moisture in abundance. This box seems to be perfect to give my skin the nourishment it needs.
Oh, one note to add.. this box became available again a week ago. Totally out of the blue, as it is pretty old in the meme-world. So if you are looking forward to receive yours but wonder what’s in it, then read on! 😀
1. insobeau Hairomax Vitamin Stick 10g l, RRP $29
This is a balm stick that can be used on isolated dry patches on the skin. I prefer gel form of moisture treatment. So I doubt I’ll pay the full $29 for the product.
2. Wish Formula Premium Ampoule Mask, RRP $14
I absolutely adore sheet masks, this mask aims to help address any problem with wrinkles and targets dry patches. But do you think this mask is a little pricey?
3. original raw Deluxe Kit ver 3.0 30ml x 3, RRP $60 (for the full size) I valuate this set to be $30
This kit is fairly popular, especially the Black Bubble cleanser!
The set includes 30ml tubes of the Black Bubble cleanser, Chan-mool Patting Essence and Water Block Black Jam cream. The Bubble cleanser will automatically transform into fine bubbles once it gets in contact with air. You’ll only need a 10 pence sized of product for your entire face. I’m really into bubbling products at the moment!
The patting essence is like thick serum, it gets absorbs into the skin and forms a protective moisture barrier.
This “Jam” can be used as a sleeping pack, the hyaluronic acid helps to retain moisture.
4. ROSEMOON Rich 53% Collagen Smart Balm 50ml, RRP $47
This cream contains 53% Collagen but it doesn’t clarify which type! This should be used as the last step of the skincare routine.
I’ve used this on alternative nights and I’m enjoying it. But I would have no idea where to get a backup! This is not a brand I can find on the usual k-beauty sites.
5. imface Vio-Xellose Neck Patch 10ml, RRP $5
This is a sheet mask for the neck, it’s formulated with plant and coconut extract. Most people neglect their necks in their skincare routine, yet it is one of the first places that show signs of ageing. I must remember to take better care of mine.
6. Dermahouse Aloe Vera Moisture Mist 120ml, RRP $14
Facial mists are always welcomed. This version contains aloe vera, so it is very soothing. You can add patting water or other ampoules to create a rejuvenating facial mist with plenty of skin benefiting ingredients.
This is actually a very good box, it is adhering to the theme pretty well.
The total retail value of the box is $139, and the cost of the box was $23 plus shipping. Pretty good value and it contains some lovely products!
Thank you for reading!
Hello there, the day has come and the end of international shipping with Memebox has ended. It might come back, but who knows?
Anyhow, I will now unbox my last ever bundle (not order :P). You can still get these two boxes, but only in a trio of boxes (Detox & Renew + Anti-Aging + Find Your Signature Scent trio bundle).
I love skincare boxes, especially it has anything to do with anti-ageing!! Many people are seeking the fountain of youth, are you? I am 😛 But until then, I am happy to use anti-ageing products to help with prevent the early signs of ageing.
Here’s the contents:
- Bory Wrinkle Repair Serum 50ml, RRP $48
This serum is lightly scented and feels light. It contains EGF to enhance collagen production in the skin.
I am not sure I like the description card; it says this serum is recommended for those with aging, lifeless skin. Seriously? Apart from that, I am happy to receive a Bory.
- Esthetic House Collagen Herb Complex Eye Cream 100ml, RRP $42
A 100ml eye cream, yes you have not read this wrongly. A full 100ml product for eyes!
This eye cream claims to give the lifted look, the firmer feeling, and glowing radiance around the eyes. It is formulated with marine collagen, herbal complex and adenosine.
This cream can also be used, and recommended to use on laughter lines, and brow area.
- Enesti Day to Day Pomegranate Acerola Foaming Cleanser 160g, RRP $14
This foaming cleanser claims to remove makeup and oil, declogs pores and brightens complexion. I won’t be able to use this to remove makeup, as I wear heavy coverage foundation at times with waterproof mascara! This is budge-proof unless I use an oil based makeup cleanser.
- PureSmie Mask 5 Pack Box RRP $6
This is a 5 sheet masks pack. I love a good sheet mask, although these are not high value items, but I do get through them pretty quickly as I use around one every day or every 2 days! There are five version; pearl, bee venom, snail, red ginseng (I will use this one first!) and vitamin.
- Tosowoong Snail Natural Pure Cream 45ml, RRP $26
Tosowoong’s natural pure line is mostly well received by the meme-communities. This snail cream also contains galactomyces. This ingredient seems very beneficial to my skin type. The cream aims to help with excessive sebum control and cure of all acne and skin blemishes.
I am currently using the bee venom mist toner, it is great!
The total retail value of this box is $136, the cost was $29 plus shipping. Not a bad value box at all, it is a solid box containing some great items.
Memebox Detox & Renew
How can you not like a detox and renew box!
- Gu:aam Method Black Pearl Protein (Conchiolin) 35 Whitening Serum 60ml, RRP $30
Wiki says Conchiolin is “a tough, insoluble protein secreted by molluscs, forming the organic matrix of the shell within which calcium carbonate is deposited”.
The consistency of this serum is light and easy to absorb, unscented which is very good to the skincare. Although, I am guilty of using scented products on my skin!
This is skin renewing serum formulated with bifida, AHA, and black pearl protein. Black pearl proteins eliminate toxins and dead skin cells in the skin. This product is also free from chemical preservatives, artificial fragrance and colourings, mineral oils, silicon oils, sulphates, parabens and EDTA (a stabiliser commonly used in skincare to prevent product ingredient changes (in texture, scent)).
- Yadah Anti Trouble Bubble Cleanser 150ml, RRP $27
This is gentle acne medicated facial cleaner. It contains salicylic acid to help fight acne and blemishes. The micro bubbles help to detoxify the pores. This product carries a pretty strong statement, as it is approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety administration. I have not seen any other Meme-product that actually has this claim!
I am happy to receive this as I do get the occasional spots and I need this to help me fight my minor acne!
- Mayn Bio Mineraltox Mist 100ml, RRP $44
This is by far, the most interesting mist I have ever received! Look at those tiny little round pebble things!
This mist is used for refreshing your complexion and makeup, it detoxifies and rejuvenates the skin with lemon balm, apple mint, royal jelly and those are called “secret beads”??? They are made of ions and mineral water. RIGHT.
I am getting used to using mists, it is very refreshing and I like the burst (light mist!) of moisture it often gives me. Happy to receive this!
- Araon Detox Skin Essence 100ml, RRP $34
This essence is unscented, super light and water-like, very light to the point I believe it will evaporate if I do not rub the essence quickly into my skin! This essence contains maple water and green tea extract. It helps to smooth the skin. There is 100ml of the product, this will take a long while to use up! Great value at $34!
- Esthentic House Vitamin 3000 Vitamin B Vita-Capsule Cream 30ml, RRP $24
This is the second Vitamin Vita-Capsule cream I have received recently. This is the Vitamin B version; it helps to sooth irritated and inflamed skin. It is also not scented.
The total retail value of this box is $159 and the cost of the box was $29 plus shipping. Very good value, especially on a box stuffed full of great skincare products.
I like this box so much that I grabbed a box for my sister during the restock of this box.
Well done, Memebox!
Thank you for reading, I have another 10 or so boxes, few value sets left… so BRING ON the unboxing party!

Till this day, I still cannot believe I’ve got this bundle of boxes. Why oh why!? The contents are not bad, just not exciting that’s all. But if you are interested in CPM2 box, it is still available here.
Memebox Superbox #56 Yogurt Cosmetics
At the time of the launch, I missed out the first restock of the yogurt box. So when it reappeared as a bundle with Cutiepie Marzia box, I bit the bullet and got the bundle. Judging by how long it took me to unbox these, you can tell how much I love it (not), right?
Pure Smile Yogurt Mask Mixed Fruits 2 * 23ml, RRP $5
There are 2 sheet masks here, I’ve tried one recently and actually pretty happy with it. The mask smells like tropical fruit salad, it is slightly moisturising without excess of the serum. The mask fits ok but the eye holes are way too small for me. I probably would not repurchase this, it is only a OK mask.
Happy Bath Facial Yogurt Cleansing Foam 120ml, RRP $6
Cleansing foam that has been enriched with citrus goodness! The option I’ve receive was the Apple, orange and lime. Not tried so I cannot comment.
ettang Modeling Take-out Cup Pack Yogurt 17g, RRP $3
This is a DIY mask that you mix the powder with water, to create a paste as a peel off mask. It is fun to mix and apply, but that’s about it. It did not do much for my skin, in terms of evening out skin tone (what it claimed to do).
Purederm Skin Softening Yogurt Mask Strawberry 150ml, RRP $12
This is a gentle yogurt mask pack, it smells of strawberry yogurt and actually pretty nice. I do like yogurt based skincare, I find them moisturising and calming to the skin. Unfortunately, this mask has a short expiration period! Mine expires this June.
Rappol Rappol Calming Cream 150g, RRP $59
High value item within the box. This calming cream works to strengthen the skin’s immunity and self-regenerating ability (er isn’t this what snail mucus filtrate do as well). This calming cream is suitable for sensitive skin that’s also allergy-prone as well.
Holika Holika I Want Chu Lip Balm 01 Strawberry Smoothie 2 * 3.7g, RRP $11
This is the only product I really like from the box. A duo of magical lip balms, each has its own flavour and when mixed, they will react and produce a third flavour! One is strawberry, one is yogurt, and when they react together, it will produce strawberry smoothie taste!
I’m not a kid but I am still fascinated by this :p
Memebox x Cutie Pie Marzia #2 (Collaboration 4)
I won’t bored you with how much the meme-community hates this collaboration box. I, myself have nothing against anyone or anything. To me, what’s important is the contents J If they work for me or suitable for me then I won’t refuse to use anything!
Apparently, Memebox has produced over 5000 of these boxes, and they are still selling it until now. You can still grab one if you wish. So read on and check if you do like the products.
Tonymoly Red Appletox Honey Cream 80ml, RRP $12
A big red cute apple from Tonymoly! I have got one from the Apple Mojito box. I really liked it, as it smells amazingly like apple but more tangy and refreshing. I like how it feels on the skin, but I have not used this under makeup yet. I am using it like a night cream/treatment.
Cheek Room Lip Balm Clover 05 Cherry Clover 12g, RRP $12
This lip balm smells very sweet and like cherries. It contains olive oil, shea butter and jojoba oil. All are great for nourishing the lips.
Shara Shara Petit Friend Matte Lipp Crayon 3g, RRP $11 (OR02 Salmon Orange)
This is a lip crayon with super cute imagery on the packaging. I have received the Salmon Orange option, in which I do not believe is a colour for me. I love lip crayons but I am also very picky with colours that I wear. I shall gift this away.
Shara Shara Triple Shine Colour Shadow 2g, RRP $15 (01 Pink Violet)
This is a trio of eye shadows created by Shara Shara. I do like the little trio of pinks and purples, and I’m pretty happy that I recevived the Pink Voilet option. I cannot see myself using the other three trio selection! This is a handy sized makeup product, but I am not sure I would pay $15 for it! Nice to have but not a necessity!
TheYeon Jeju Hallabong Energy Mile All-in-One Serum 100ml, RRP $20
This serum is created using organic Hallabong, it is a hybrid citrus fruit which is known to be very tasty and sweet (would love to try one!). It looks like a pear shaped orange! This serum smells like a citrusy fruit cocktail, contains vitamin C and other ingredients such as kiwi, broccoli and aloe vera (all cultivated on the island of Jeju, Korea).
This serum is slightly thinner than normal serum consistency, it feels moisturising on the skin and it get absorbed very easily.
Revecen Face Control Foundation #002 Violet 17g, RRP $22
This is a colour correcting cream foundation product. We have seen this item popping up in so many boxes now. This product is to be applied before your base product. Or apply extremely lightly over makeup with lots of blending.
The foundation is heavy coverage, and needs a lot of blending in order for it to be undetectable. The purple pigment is for neutralising the yellow tones in uneven skin tone. It perks up dull skin and makes it a very smooth canvas to work on. It’s useable for light to light-medium skin tones.
Thank you for reading!
Hello! Here we are, a review post on Memebox own line of makeup products. I’m normally not too fussed (and not very keen) about non-cosmetic brand bringing out cosmetic items. But the Memebox’s collaboration with Pony (a Korean makeup artist/model) seems fun and interesting.
Pony is gorgeous and has her own makeup series. I like her style and the looks that she create. Her tutorials are easy to follow despite being broadcasted in Korean with English subtitles.
Today, we’re reviewing Pony’s second palette created with Memebox. This is the Shine Easy Glam season 2 starter kit. This set contains:
- Pony XO Memebox Shine Easy Glam Season 2 ($20)
- I’m Eyeliner (1 randomly selected color) ($5)
- I’m Blush (1 randomly selected color) ($7)
- I’m Lip Crayon (1 randomly selected color) ($7)
- I’m Brush #05 Powder Brush ($25)
The set costs $39 with postage already included. This works out to be very good value for money.
The set I’ve received contains the following colour option:
- Pony Shine Easy Glam season 2 eyeshadow palette
- I’m Eyeliner in Jade
- I’m Blush in Bright Coral
- I’m Lip Crayon in Bella
- I’m Brush #05 Powder Brush
So what are they like as individual products?
Let’s go in the reverse order on how I like them 😛
First up. .. I’m Blush in Bright Coral
This blush itself is actually fine and has good colour payoff. But I hate the colour! I just cannot work pastel orange on my cheeks 😦 it maybe used as a funky coloured eye shadow when I’m desperate.
This brush is made with synthetic hair, it’s soft and easy to wash. For some reason, the brush shape is not uniform. Mine seems to be lopsided, so the cut is not perfect. I can deal with that. I’m struggling to understand why a meme-brush doesn’t pick up meme-makeup. As a powder brush, I would expect it to pick up powders pretty well. But it didn’t work too well. Maybe I can use it as a finishing brush, to dust off excess powder. (This doesn’t happen!)
For value, I think this is slightly overpriced. Especially when the actual cosmetic is good quality and priced appropriately.
I’m Eyeliner in Jade
Jade is a lovely khaki green with tiny golden shimmer. This is an automatic type of liner, no sharpener required! It also comes with a sponge smudger at the opposite end of the liner itself. Very handy if you want to smoke out your lines.
This liner is soft, creamy and glides onto the lids beautifully.
It really is a shame that I have oily lids. No liner would stay put for longer than 3 to 4 hours. So if I wanted to use this liner then I needed to prime my lids with good primer first. It might seem like hassle but the colour is so nice that I’m willing to do this 🙂
ps. Sorry, the Lip Crayon name is Bella, not Belle!
Pony Shine Easy Glam palette season 2
Yes I was surprised too! I thought I would love the star of the show. Oh well. I have the season 1 palette and I would like to show it to you. It didn’t come in a set like season 2 does.
This palette contains 8 shadows mostly shimmery. All swatched on Urban Decay Potion eye primer, they don’t show up well when swatched on bare skin!
The shades are;
Shine Peach: a shimmery pearl with peach pink tint. Not easy to use and it sure does look special 😉
Glam Violet: a better pigmented shadow out of the palette. It’s good to have a slightly darker shade in the pan, this will be used for a night out look.
Shine Dew: sparkly cool white, great when used as the pop colour
Shine Rose: A gorgeous warm rose pink, my favourite shade from the palette
Glam Mocha: A shimmer taupe brown, looks prettier when swatched than in the pan
Shine Beige: Shimmery beige. Not exciting but probably the best pale shimmer available in this palette
Glam Choco: another shimmer brown, really lovely to work with.
Glam Bronze: Gorgeous shimmery bronze that doesn’t pull too orangey tone. Absolute best shade to work with, has the best colour payoff and last the longest when worn.
As you can see that the colour selection is pretty good. It really is a shame that the quality of the product lets it down slightly. I would still use this regularly thou 🙂
I’m Lip Crayon in Bella
I was pleasantly surprised with this lip crayon. Normally I’m not keen on dark berry shades, as my lips are not full enough to make dark colours look good.
The texture is nice and has a balmy feel to it. It glides on precisely and smoothly. The colour pay-off was amazing. The shade works very well with my medium warm toned skin. Somehow it pulls more red than cool berry shades when worn. I really like this! It’s constantly sitting on my office desk for regular touch ups.
This set costs $39 with free shipping, it is valued at $64 if you buy the products individually.
I enjoyed few items from this starter set. It is very well priced and served well as an introductory set to Memebox own makeup line.
Unfortunately, this set is no longer available for International shipping. But you can get the
Memebox x Pony palette starter set (US delivery only) at $39 with free shipping
Or the Season 2 palette in another set with a block blush :), this is probably better as you will get an extra piece of make-up instead of the brush.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
During the festive seasons, Memebox had launched a series of Christmas boxes and Boxing day special editions. I’ve unboxed and reviewed Christmas boxes #1, #2 and #3. This is the only box I’ve got from Boxing day special editions.
Say hello to our “Samples Box”!
This box is very different to normal boxes, described as a box jam packed with fabulous samples and THAT wasn’t a lie. When I opened the box… I was greeted with a box full of deluxe sample sized items plus one full sized item. I’m pretty pleased with this box, these will be great to take on travelling!
What samples are in the box?
1. Derma B Fresh Moisture Body Lotion 50ml, RRP $2.38 [Full size product 400ml at $19]
This is a body lotion for dry and sensitive skin types. It contains tea tree, peppermint, bergamot and ginger. With the scent and the consistency, I would prefer to use this in the Winter times.
2. Banila Co. Claypatra Mineral Salt Clay Pack 12g X 2 tubs, RRP $5.28 [Full size product 100g at $22]
This is a fabulous clay pack, it really does clean the pores and remove skin impurities. This clay pack and the Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay pack can give me that “Skin that breath” feeling!
Just don’t forget to rinse this off after 10 to 15 minutes.
If I have to choose between this clay pack and Innisfree’s, I would still prefer to use the one from Innisfree 😛
3. Hanskin Bio Origin Royal Ampoule B.B SPF30 PA++ 5ml, $7.71 [Full size product 35ml at $54]
A very luxurious BB indeed, look at the price tag. Well it is not pricey if you compare with the highend BB and foundations we can get from department stores. This is above the £30 price point!
I have not tried this yet, as BB and I do not get along too well. I shall see how this performs, as many ladies have declared this as their HG (Holy Grail) BB!
4. Tonymoly BCDation All Master SPF30 PA++ 20g, RRP $9.60 [Full size product 50g ast $24]
This BCDation is THE base to use according to TonyMoly. It combines the blemish covering of a BB cream, colour correcting of the CC cream and the coverage of a foundation into one single product.
I have tried this, it feels good on the skin but this is the wrong shade for me. Plus, it did not last long on my oily combination skin.
5. Banila Co. Clean It Zero 7g X 4ea, RRP $6.16 [Full size product 100ml at $22]
This is a cleansing balm created by Banila Co. Have I told you that this is one of my all-time favourite balm cleansers?
This is in a balm consistency, it contains acerola, papaya, herbal extracts but it also has mineral oil. Mineral oil have had bad reputation about clogging pores but it seems fine on my skin. So if you do not like mineral oil in skincare then steer clear.
I really like this cleansing balm, it smells like sweet bubblegum and I love how it melts on my skin. Just like butter on hot toast! Taking away all my makeup worn during the day with ease. It melts the waterproof mascara and long lasting foundation too.
I love this balm and cannot praise it enough. I am currently using the full size tub from Banila Co brand box. Very happy with the samples here!
6. Dr Young Pore Syok-Syok Cleansing Gel 15ml X 2, RRP $5.60 [Full size product: 150ml at $28]
A lovely gentle gel cleaner. I have received two of these from the Wonder Woman box. I like using these gel cleansers for my “second cleanse”.
Not my favourite, but I would recommend this cleanser if you do not wear alot of makeup in general.
7. Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City (CC Cream) 10ml, RRP $10 [Full size product: 30ml at $30]
I adore this CC cream. I received a 10ml from the “My Lovely Boutique” box. This shade looks too light on me, but it does make my skin looks youthful and very healthy.
Highly recommend this to anyone who has light to light medium skin tone.
8. Mise En Scene Perfect Repair Treatment Pack 180ml, RRP $16
This is the only full sized item within the box. I won’t be complaining as I love this hair treatment. I use this as a conditioner together with the hair serum from the same range. This does not weigh down my hair and feels extra smooth to touch.
9. Seven Drops High Protection Moringa Light Sunblock SPF50+ PA+++ 7g, RRP $8 approx [Full size product 50ml at $38]
A SPF50 lotion will come in handy during the hotter months. I am currently using a SPF30 in the UK… where we do not actually get much sun at all!
I’m keeping this!
10. Ryo Anti Hair Loss Treatment 50ml, RRP $3 [Full size product 200ml at $12]
I am very wary of hair treatment that I need to put onto my scalp, as it’s pretty sensitive to new products. I might not try this product… better safe than sorry.
This treatment is infused with biota seed, coix seed, green tea and gold extracts. It helps prevent hair loss and at the same time, it will strengthens thin and damaged hair.
11. Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint 03 Funky Bloom 2.5g, RRP $7.78 [Full size product 4.5g at $14]
This is a 3 in 1 product, combining the glossiness of a lip gloss, the long lasting colours of a lip tint and the colour payoff of a lipstick.
I have not tried this yet, as I am still recovering from the lip-tint incident in which it left my lips dry and cracked. Once recovered, then I shall give this a try 🙂
The total retail value of the box is $81.51, the cost of the box was a BARGAIN at $12 plus shipping. I am extremely happy with the box and just wished I bought another one!
Thank you for reading! Unboxing party continues this week!
Waited a fairly long time for this Xmas box! I’ve unboxed #1 and #2 over a month ago now (and before Christmas).
This box had a clear theme, masks made for Winter!
I’m did jump onto it as I love using facial masks, every other night during the winter period. I believe my skin needs more pampering during the cold weather.
Every winter, I used to get red and sore dry patches on my face as soon as the harsh winds start to howl.
But this year (fingers crossed) I won’t be getting the same issue, I’ll try my best to look after it.
OK what is in the winter essentials mask box?
1. 3 sheet masks by Velieve, RRP $7
This is a brand that I have not tried before. So I’m interested in checking these out. This was three masks randomly selected in four options. The masks contain marine collagen, honey extracts, lemon extracts and aloe vera. They help with nourishing, firming, tightening, brightening and moisturising.
Currently, memebox has a Velieve value set on sale.
2. Rire Patting Water (Brightening) 300ml, RRP $42
My bottle actually leaked into the box and caused a bit of a little flood inside the box. It was sticky and slightly unpleasant. I’ve emailed Memebox about the leakage, thinking they might replace an item for me. Instead, Memebox replied after 4 weeks and gave me 7 points (just after they have announced the ending of international shipping.
Anyhow, back to the review! This is randomly selected from Lifting, Brightening and Moisture. The purple Brightening version contains violet extracts to even out skin tone.
To use a patting water, measure one to two capfuls and add to a basin (2/3 full of water) before splashing it onto the face as the last step in cleansing.
Do this for 10 to 15 minutes. That’s a lot of splashing so I probably turn it into a mist mixed with aloe vera water. This is a leave-on product so no need to rinse off.
Blithe is more well known as a patting water brand. It is loved by many k-beauty lovers. Have you tried a patting water?
3. INOFACE Real Natural Pulp Essence Sheet Mask 23ml, RRP $2
There are four options including Snail, Q10, Collagen, Aloe. I’ve received the Collagen which I’m pretty happy about. I can see why some people are upset about receiving one-use products. Since you can’t try an one-use item again or buy another easily from US and UK.
4. ESTHETIC HOUSE Collagen Jelly Mask Pack 100ml, RRP $13
This is a sleeping pack and it’s main active ingredient is pig collagen. This mask aims to firm and tightening the skin, and at the same time provides moisturise.
This Esthetic House version is so similar to the Elizavecca Green Piggy Jella pack, I received the Elizavecca version in Mask Box edition 5. These even smell similar. The texture of the sleeping pack is like jelly, you can stir it and within 30 mins the jelly will stabilise and appear untouched.
This pack is suitable for all skin types. You apply this 20 to 30 mins before going to sleep. Wakeup and rinse it off 🙂 then say hello plump skin in the morning!
5. LASSIE’EL Raspberry Age Defying Yogurt Massage Mask 12g, RRP $6
These look like little jam packs you get with English breakfasts down the greasy spoon’s.
In fact, these are little portions of raspberry yogurt masks. I really like the plastic lid that comes with the pack. So I can save the mask leftovers!
To use, apply into cleansed face and leave for about 5 to 10 minutes.
6. PURE SMILE Jewelry Bubble Ruby & Pure Bubble Royal Jelly 3g (2 units), RRP $2
There are two tiny packs of facial masks tugged well inside the Memebox. These are formulated with royal jelly extracts and ruby extracts!
The Bubble Ruby version soothes and moisturises the skin with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera leaf, glycerin, green tea, ruby powder and portulaca extracts.
The royal jelly pack is created for acne-prone skin.
To use, spread over cleansed skin. It will generate bubbles within 2 to 3 minutes in order to deep clean the pores and remove skin impurities. Once the bubble stops then you can remove it with lukewarm water.
I’ve tried the royal jelly one tonight and it’s so much fun! Smells really like bubble gums. It feels like the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Bubble clay mask but this one wins over with the fragrance 😛
Thank you for reading! I like the box alot and I wish there were more Bubble packs! 🙂
The box value is at $72 and the cost of the box was $ 23 plus shipping. Not a very high value box but it was weather appropriate and useful.
Hello there. This is not my last Memebox, but the last of global boxes… It is getting a little sadder by the day. As I am liking the boxes more and more. (I am sad because Memebox will not be shipping to the UK from mid-February onwards). So I am counting down on the days left! Anyhow, this is a lovely box and here’s why…
Look at the contents!
- The Choute Aurora Pearl base 30m, RRP $18
This is a primer that gives luminosity to the skin, it contains micro light deflectors that catches and reflects the lights. When swatched, it looks amazing on the skin. I shall be using this under my semi-matte foundation to add some “life” to my face! It should brighten up the whole complexion without looking like a disco ball.
The instruction might be slightly misleading as it asks for 3 to 4 pumps of the primer for the entire face. I did 1 pump and it was enough for me, I think anything more than 1.5 pump will be wasting the product!
- Secret Nature Moringa Seed Toner 130ml, RRP $31
One of the better packaged products I have ever received from Memebox. This glass bottle is gorgeous and spells luxurious. But it does not have a matching price tag. Only valuated at $31 (well, comparing to other $50+ toner we have been receiving in the past).
- Pureplus+ Acai Berry Magic Bubble Cleansing Foam 80ml, RRP $12
Another foam cleanser! This cleanser claims to remove makeup and impurities, increase collagen production and restore elasticity. I cannot wait to try this out! I am *still* on the dDung foam cleanser I’ve received from My Cute Wish List 3.
- Mimi Lauryne’s Beauty Lesson Hand Cream 50ml, RRP $17
There are three options and we get one selected from Romantic Floral, Zesty Citrus and Sultry Musk. I am happy with Rose option that I’ve received. This hand cream has been enriched with macadamia seed oil. I am currently using the Etude House My Castle Hand Cream which is Rose scented as well!
- Esthetic House Vitamin 3000 Vitamin C Vita-Capsule Cream 30ml, RRP $24
A skin brightening cream contains vitamin C, it helps to reduce the appearance of pores, brightens and fade dark spots. To use, apply onto cleansed skin over dark spots and problem areas. I do have acne scars, so I will using this cream and look out for another product I have to use this with.
- Syndrome Cosmetic Pouch Sample: CB Revitalizing Fermentation Essence 1g (2 sachets)
I am unsure on how these 2 sample sachets can be listed as one item within a Global box. It’s a first for me, as I have never received tiny “sample-sized” samples from Memebox. The essence does sound like something I would love to use and incorporate into my skincare routine. This essence works to balance the skin, with skin repairing galactomyces and anti-aging bifida.
- Syndrome Cosmetic pouch Sample: CB Cream Gold 1g (2 sachets)
CB Cream gold sample sachets: a facial cream visibly brightens the skin tone, it works to lock in moisturise and provide anti-wrinkling effects.
The total retail value of this box is $106 (I valued the sample sachets at $1 each at max!), the cost of the box was $23 plus shipping.
I am very happy with the box contents, and the fact that I have received this early. The box was scheduled to be shipped on the 24th January 2015, it normally takes 10 to 20 days to arrive into the UK. So this is 2 weeks early!
Hello there, it’s Saturday today and we had couple inches of snow earlier this morning. A chilly morning brought some chilly news in the world of Meme-land.
Shocking BYE BYE News: In the wee hours of the morning, all non-US customers have received the email announcement from Memebox. This email detailed how Memebox will no longer be shipping beauty boxes to anywhere outside of the US, Korea and China. So, I won’t be receiving many Memeboxes apart from the ones scheduled within the next month or so.
This news has given me a kick and I shall be reviewing all the boxes I have, and hopefully they will still be relevant and helpful to some who can buy restock boxes. So you might be seeing a marathon of unboxing posts from me. I shall apologies in advance!
To kick start this UNBOXING PARTY… we have the Princess Edition #4 Little Mermaid!
Little Mermaid box contains some lovely sea-theme related items.
- Pureplus+ Bentonite Cleansing Soap, RRP $12
This soap is enriched with cocoon silk and French Bentonite clay. It works as a cleansing soap or shaving bar. Bentonite clay is packed with over 66 different kinds of natural minerals; it gently removes unnecessary dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. This smells very gentle and quite lovely.
- DD’ell Extra Vitalizing Serum, RRP $42
This lovely serum is formulated with algae extracts and galactomyces (my fav skincare ingredient!) ferments. This serum is nutrition rich, the algae acts as anti-allergic and moisturising agent. It has a dropper for dispensing a milky white serum, the thick consistency absorbs into the skin with ease. The serum smells very delicate.
This serum does not contain paraben, artificial colouring, benzophenone, formaldehyde, paraffin, Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT, preservatives) and triethanolamine (skin irritant).
- Grinif Collagen Aqua Peeling Gel, RRP $20
Peeling gels are one of my favourite skincare items, as it gently removes dead skin without the use of scrub-like particles. My holy grail peeling gel is Ginvera Marvel Gel. I have never used a peeling gel in spray form. TO use this, you spray it onto the face (not damp), and massage in circular motion. It will lifts away your dead skin in little gel pieces. Then, rinse the skin clean!
- dearberry Pure & Popular White Clay Pack, RRP $12
Amazon white clay pack that can deeply cleanses away excess oil and impurities from the skin. The aloe vera extracts would soothe and moisturise the skin.
- Mizon Hyaluronic Ultra Suboon Cream, RRP $19
This is a facial cream consists over 30% of hyaluronic acid. It moisturises, nourish, relieve and firm up dry and dulled complexion. I really like hyaluronic acid skincare products. This cream is performing very well in my skincare regime at the moment. I shall miss it when I run out of it!
- Pure Smile Original Mask Sheet in Pearl, RRP $1
I’ve received the pearl version. Pearl powder is often used in skincare to brighten and moisturises the skin.
The total meme-retail value of $106, the cost of the box was $29 plus shipping. I am using the serum, the Suboon cream and the mask (used!).
Next in line for the UNBOXING PARTY! We have “Dry & Sensitive Skin” box!
I am unsure why I ordered this box as I do not have dry and sensitive skin… I do get dry patches during the winter usually. But luckily, I am suffering very little this year (fingers crossed).
- Zamian Trouble Skin Handmade Soap Ac’xxii 100g, RRP$18
When I first opened the box, it smelled of this soap. PRETTY STRONG!

This is a very gentle cream for soothing irritated skin. It is enriched with 27 natural extracts, such as green tea, mandarin and walnut. This formula is suitable for use by pregnant ladies as well as babies.

This is a very soothing mist, it contains aloe vera, verbena (reduce redness in skin), red ginseng and camellia oil. This is easily absorbed into the skin, works fast to revitalise dry skin on the body.
- Pureplus+ Lip Treatment in Honey Bee 10g, RRP $9
This lip treatment is FAB, it contains nutrients like snail mucus extracts, shea butter, grape seed oil, hyaluronic acid, and Vitamin E for protecting lips. My lips are sensitive to lip products, I use this as a lip treatment as and when they feel slightly dry and chapped. This is a great find for me.
This lip treatment is a thick, semi-opaque balmy gel. It leaves a cooling feeling on the lips once applied.
The total meme-retail value of $110, the cost of the box was $29 plus shipping.
Not my favourite box, maybeI should only buy “oily boxes” hehehe!
Okie, thank you for reading and I just cannot believe the bye-bye news. Memebox might come back serving internationally, but this is not promised unfortunately.
