Hello and welcome back! I have a non-beauty post for you today. I’ve met up with couple of girly friends on Saturday and we went “sheep hunting” in London! If you’re in London during next couple of months or in Bristol in July. You’ll be able to join into the “Shaun in the City ” hunt too.
Shaun is a sheep! It is a spin off character from the Wallace & Gromit stop-Motion animated series.
What is Shaun in the City?
There are 120 giant sculptures of Shaun that have been designed and decorated for this event. They have placed 50 of these adorable sculptures in the Capital of London. Most are within walking distance to famous London landmarks or tourist attractions. There are four walking trails within Central London ranging from 3km to 5km long, allowing you to enjoy what the capital has to offer as well as rounding up the flock of sheep.
There is a location map to help you identify trails to find those lost sheep within the capital.
Another 70 completely differently sculptures will be placed in the City of Bristol in July.
London Trail: 28th March to 25th May (50 sheep)
Bristol Trail: 6th July to 31st August (70 sheep different to the 50 found in London!)
Bristol Finale: 12th to 20th Sept (All 120 sheep plus special guest)
London Finale: 24th to 27th Sept (All 120 sheep plus special guest)
This is to help raise money for the Wallace & Gromit charity, which supports sick children in hospitals across the UK. There are fundraising packs available and activities, for more details, please goto http://shauninthecity.org.uk/fundraise
You can take part in fundraising or bid for your favourite Shaun in October.
Okie, let me share with you what we have found on Saturday! They are truly adorable!
(I do not want to spoil it for you, so I won’t put any location information nor the names of the Shaun found :p)
