Waited a fairly long time for this Xmas box! I’ve unboxed #1 and #2 over a month ago now (and before Christmas).
This box had a clear theme, masks made for Winter!
I’m did jump onto it as I love using facial masks, every other night during the winter period. I believe my skin needs more pampering during the cold weather.
Every winter, I used to get red and sore dry patches on my face as soon as the harsh winds start to howl.
But this year (fingers crossed) I won’t be getting the same issue, I’ll try my best to look after it.
OK what is in the winter essentials mask box?
1. 3 sheet masks by Velieve, RRP $7
This is a brand that I have not tried before. So I’m interested in checking these out. This was three masks randomly selected in four options. The masks contain marine collagen, honey extracts, lemon extracts and aloe vera. They help with nourishing, firming, tightening, brightening and moisturising.
Currently, memebox has a Velieve value set on sale.
2. Rire Patting Water (Brightening) 300ml, RRP $42
My bottle actually leaked into the box and caused a bit of a little flood inside the box. It was sticky and slightly unpleasant. I’ve emailed Memebox about the leakage, thinking they might replace an item for me. Instead, Memebox replied after 4 weeks and gave me 7 points (just after they have announced the ending of international shipping.
Anyhow, back to the review! This is randomly selected from Lifting, Brightening and Moisture. The purple Brightening version contains violet extracts to even out skin tone.
To use a patting water, measure one to two capfuls and add to a basin (2/3 full of water) before splashing it onto the face as the last step in cleansing.
Do this for 10 to 15 minutes. That’s a lot of splashing so I probably turn it into a mist mixed with aloe vera water. This is a leave-on product so no need to rinse off.
Blithe is more well known as a patting water brand. It is loved by many k-beauty lovers. Have you tried a patting water?
3. INOFACE Real Natural Pulp Essence Sheet Mask 23ml, RRP $2
There are four options including Snail, Q10, Collagen, Aloe. I’ve received the Collagen which I’m pretty happy about. I can see why some people are upset about receiving one-use products. Since you can’t try an one-use item again or buy another easily from US and UK.
4. ESTHETIC HOUSE Collagen Jelly Mask Pack 100ml, RRP $13
This is a sleeping pack and it’s main active ingredient is pig collagen. This mask aims to firm and tightening the skin, and at the same time provides moisturise.
This Esthetic House version is so similar to the Elizavecca Green Piggy Jella pack, I received the Elizavecca version in Mask Box edition 5. These even smell similar. The texture of the sleeping pack is like jelly, you can stir it and within 30 mins the jelly will stabilise and appear untouched.
This pack is suitable for all skin types. You apply this 20 to 30 mins before going to sleep. Wakeup and rinse it off 🙂 then say hello plump skin in the morning!
5. LASSIE’EL Raspberry Age Defying Yogurt Massage Mask 12g, RRP $6
These look like little jam packs you get with English breakfasts down the greasy spoon’s.
In fact, these are little portions of raspberry yogurt masks. I really like the plastic lid that comes with the pack. So I can save the mask leftovers!
To use, apply into cleansed face and leave for about 5 to 10 minutes.
6. PURE SMILE Jewelry Bubble Ruby & Pure Bubble Royal Jelly 3g (2 units), RRP $2
There are two tiny packs of facial masks tugged well inside the Memebox. These are formulated with royal jelly extracts and ruby extracts!
The Bubble Ruby version soothes and moisturises the skin with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera leaf, glycerin, green tea, ruby powder and portulaca extracts.
The royal jelly pack is created for acne-prone skin.
To use, spread over cleansed skin. It will generate bubbles within 2 to 3 minutes in order to deep clean the pores and remove skin impurities. Once the bubble stops then you can remove it with lukewarm water.
I’ve tried the royal jelly one tonight and it’s so much fun! Smells really like bubble gums. It feels like the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Bubble clay mask but this one wins over with the fragrance 😛
Thank you for reading! I like the box alot and I wish there were more Bubble packs! 🙂
The box value is at $72 and the cost of the box was $ 23 plus shipping. Not a very high value box but it was weather appropriate and useful.
