Bird nests skincare?! Unboxing of Memebox Collaboration #9 with Soothingsista aka Stephanie Villa

The uber cool SoothingSista is here!
I was screaming like a school girl when I found out SoothingSista was to collaborate with Memebox and create a beauty box! I have been watching SoothingSista on YouTube for a while, and have always admired her unique quirky sense of style (she got me looking at harnesses, don’t worry, only looking. ..), and her makeup is always classic chic. Seriously stunning winged liners, classy red lips and perfect skin, she plays down on eyeshadows most of the time. Taking a quick look at this box,  there is an overemphasise on skincare products within this box, but I LIKE that!

Ok, so let’s see what goodies we have here!
Vicioni Super Aqua Soothing Serum 30ml, RRP $29
This is a funny smelling serum, SoothingSista has mentioned this at her unboxing video. To me, this smells faintly like liquorice.
I don’t like liquorice but I can deal with it as long as it is great for my skin! This serum is formulated with 100% natural ingredients with “Sea grape” which is rich in sea minerals and vitamins. This serum aims to replenish dry, dulled skin.
I’ve used this for a few nights now, it absorbs well after patting it into the skin.

Tonymoly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm 30g, RRP $11
Another egg! I have already received 2 of these egg pore steam balms in my BNK haul (link here). This product is very gentle and it can marginally brightens the skin up. Great for people with sensitive skin and suffers from blackheads. You might fancy checking out my review on the egg pore steam balm.
I shall be swapping this, who needs 3 egg pore balms at any 1 time?

Shara Shara Miracle Capsule Cream 50ml, RRP $18
This is a moisturiser aims to deliver intense moisture to dry, tired skin. I received the white bear balm in the Thanksgiving box.
This looks more like a gel than cream, it’s a clear jelly-like substance that smells nice and fresh.
This black bear cream has cute packaging, I might sit this next to my white bear balm! Just for the fun factor!

Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Primer Essence 20ml, RRP $18
A primer that promises you the smoothest of skin, the most poreless you will get?!
I’ve tried it only couple of times, my CC cream looked good 🙂 I’m really falling in love with the Shara Shara Color Control Cream (from Vagabond Youth collab box, unboxing here). It just makes my skin look its best!

Dewytree Deep Detox Black Mask 1 Sachet, RRP $3
Sheet mask, sheeeeeeeeeet mask! I like sheet masks, full stop. I like this Dewytree black masks in particular! Read my review on the set here (link).

These Dewytree masks are really moisturising and pleasing to use. It might look scary to others when you are using this! Imagine the classic bank robber masks.. =_=;

Vivito Painting Matte Finish Lip Stick, RRP $30
The star of the show (to me at least), the lipstick looks fab, and I secretly wanted to receive a red, maybe just the shade “Red Sun”. I really am not suited to purple, and guess what colour I received? Yes the purplest purple from the options, Orchid Purple!
Ps. I’m in a 3 way swap to get a red at the moment!  Knowing me, I’ll post a DISO for the red sun option!

Blooming Collagentox Sleeping Water Pack 90ml, RRP $18
This Sleeping pack contains bird nest extract, snail mucus extracts,  aloe vera,  Japanese prickly ah berries etc. It has a traditional skincare smell?? Pretty and delicate. It has tiny little beads that you massage into your skin.
Why bird nest and what are bird nest extracts??
Bird nests are not really nests of birds 😛 it really is swallow saliva after flying for a long journey. Yup, glamourised bird puke. [Yen-Wou] is pretty pricy to buy in Asia.
This bird nests has been used widely in Asia as a food supplement that has been believed to be great for skin. I have been using bird nest sheet masks for a long time, they’re really nourishing. I cannot afford to eat bird nests as food supplement thou! But when my mum wants to treat us, we get a yummy sweet dessert made with bird nests 😉
There are people who are against the extraction of bird nests in SE Asia, but there are bird nest farms that obtain bird nests responsibly.
I’ve been using snail products ever since my first memebox and loving it. So this is a product I would love to use and keep using!

Total (meme) retail value of this box is $127, the cost of this box was $23 plus shipping. The lipstick alone is $30! Wish I bought another one now XP

All in all, I love this collab box! Yes I may be biased but this box has products to take care of the skin, hopefully… clearer, cleaner, brighter and smoother skin!

Until next time! Take care, and don’t forget to enter my first blog giveaway and please spread the love and share it out (and earn some more entries for yourself!)
Thank you for reading! Hope you all are having a great day.
