Drooling over YSL #47 the top coat with large glistering gold leaf … This little beauty is from the spring nail collection created by Lloyd Simmonds, Creative director of YSL Makeup/Beauty. Pricing at £18.50 ($27USD) is pretty steep, I haven’t forked out for it and unlikely that I would (when is the spring sales again?).
NYX Advanced salon formula in Black NSP127 is always great to pair with other polishes. It is a lovely shiny black, opaque with 1 coat.
I came across this gold flakes looky-likey from L’Oreal, it’s promptly named as 920 Goldleaf! It is so mesmerizing, it is so pretty and delicate at the same time…
I can’t say this is exact dupe of YSL #47 as I do not own the £18.50 version. But by the looks of it, it is pretty darn close!! This cheaper alternative is only £4.99.
Today I have layered it over NYX advanced Salon formula Black nail polish NPS127.
L’Oreal Color Riche 920 Goldleaf
Application: good brush and easy application. Very easy to pick up those gorgeous gold leafs!
Availability: all major Boots store and online. Superdrug in store and online too.
Superdrug has an offer on all L’Oreal makeup range, all 3 for 2. So you can pick up the silver Disco Ball glitter #842 and the Scarlet tinsel glitter too! Coolio!
This top coat/ polish takes awhile to dry! So don’t use it if you are short of time. A slick of top coat will bring it even more alive and shiny!
Score: 4/5 I think I can pair this with many other polishes! Can’t wait!
YSL La Laque Couture in 47 Feuille d’or: £18.50 from Debenhams
I like it! What do you think? Would you go for the real deal from YSL? (I would if I have the money burning in my pocket! Hehe)
Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely week!
