NOTD Illamasqua latest collection Sacred hour nail polish in Hemlock DUPE and photo swatch
Hiya! How are you doing today 🙂
Illamasqua’s latest collection came out couple of weeks ago and they have relaunched one of their nail polish, Hemlock.
It has been one of my many favourites from the brand, it looks good on its own and it transforms other polishes when applied on top. Hemlock is a iridescent pearly duo chrome polish beige base with lilac, pink, green tones. LOVE IT!
But I was wearing its dupe earlier this week, and suddenly realised how close this dupe is to Illamasqua’s Hemlock.
I actually think this is a pretty good dupe, don’t you think! Can hardly tell which is which!
So here it is!
Ta dah! It is Rimme Metal Rush in (100) Pearly Queen! It is almost exact dupe of Hemlock, but Pearly Queen is more pearly and has slightly less green in it.
Top 2 are painted with 2 coats of Illamasqua’s Hemlock.
Bottom 2 nails painted with 2 coats of Rimmel’s Metal Rush in Pearly Queen.
All without top coat.
Since these are duo chromes, let me show you what they look like in artificial lighting and in shade.
OK, to be very honest! They don’t look much different on and off camera.
Both are very easy to use, Pearly Queen’s brush is actually very nice to use and easy to control.
Hemlock, I have been wearing it so I know it lasts longer on the nails. In terms of wear, this is a winner.
So, all boils down to your preference .. 🙂
Hemlock is £14.50 from Illamasqua online and in store
Rimmel is £3.99 from Superdrug and Boots nationwide (Superdrug currently has a buy 1 get 1 half price offer)
Have a good day everyone!! Friday tomorrow, wooop wooop!!
